Andrews, Texas January 23, 2008: The Permian Regional Medical Center Auxiliary has really stepped up to the plate when it comes to going the extra mile in helping PRMC provide the best possible care. When it comes to providing great care, equipment does come into the picture.
The Auxiliary has purchased five monitors for areas throughout PRMC: two that will be used in the Medical/Surgical Unit, two for OB/Post-Partum Unit and one for OR/Recovery Unit.
Each machine will monitor blood pressure, pulse and oxygen situation. In addition, the one for the OR/Recovery Unit will perform additional monitoring capability.
Kendra Slatton, CNO at Permian Regional Medical Center, attended the Auxiliary Board Meeting to thank them and show them the new equipment. She also expressed to them that the hospital would need another monitor for OR, but this one was going to cost about four times the amount the others cost. The Auxiliary came back to Slatton and said they were going to go ahead and purchase the second monitor needed for the OR.
“It is contributions like these that make a huge impact and difference. The Auxiliary at PRMC is a wonderful group of ladies that are much appreciated,” said Tasa Watts, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at PRMC.
