Surgery
The department of Surgery provides surgical services for all patients, regardless of age. The OR department is located on the third floor of Permian Regional Medical Center and provides surgical services via a holding area, 2 Operating Rooms, an Endoscopic/Special Procedure room, and a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Inpatient, outpatient, and surgical emergency services are provided. Equipment and supplies are be adapted to size and age of the patient.
The type of surgical services provided include: OB/GYN, General, Lower and Upper GI Endoscopy, Closed and Open Reduction of Fractures, Central Line catherization with or without venous access ports, and Cardiac Pacemaker. The location of procedures performed depends on the complexity of the procedure. Designated locations include: OB Delivery, Emergency Room, Radiology, 3-South Treatment Room, Nursery, and Surgery.
