Surgery


The surgical department at Permian Regional Medical Center provides surgical services for all patients ages two and older. Inpatient, outpatient and emergency services are provided. The OR operates 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday and staff is available after hours for emergencies.

The Surgery department provides services via an eight bay pre operative area, two general operating suites, one cesarean section suite, two endoscopy suites and a post anesthesia care unit (PACU/recovery room).

Types of surgical services most commonly provided but not limited to include:

General/laparoscopic surgeries such as breast biopsies, gallbladder removal, appendectomy, hernia repair, excision of masses, and bowel resections.

Women’s health procedures include but not limited to hysterectomies, treatment of uterine fibroids, permanent sterilization, diagnostic hysteroscopes, and removal of endometrial polyps.

Endoscopic procedures include upper (EGD) and lower (LFC) endoscopies.
Surgeries of the feet and ankles include fractures of the ankle and feet, bunions, flat foot repair, hammertoes, tendon repair, joint fusions, ankle stabilization, wound debridement and surgery for chronic heel pain.
